WHEREAS:

1. The CALFED Bay Delta Program has indicated that it proposes an interagency agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board for the sum of $900,000 to support toxicity studies in the Sacramento River watershed and the Delta.

2. The proposed agreement would use a portion of those funds ($600,000) to subcontract with the University of California to conduct toxicity studies.

3. The Regional Board would manage an interagency agreement with the University of California for $600,000 for three years.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

The SWRCB authorizes the Executive Director or his designee to negotiate, approve, and/or amend an interagency agreement with the University of California.

The undersigned, Administrative Assistant to the SWRCB, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true, and correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly adopted at a meeting of the State Water Resources Control Board held on January 21, 1999.
