LA MS4 Order
The State Water Resources Control Board received thirty-seven (37) petitions for review of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Waste Discharge Requirements Order No. R4-2012-0175 [NPDES No. CAS004001], Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Discharges Within the Coastal Watersheds of Los Angeles County, Except Those Discharges Originating From The City of Long Beach MS4.
Final State Water Board Order WQ 2015-0075 (SWRCB/OCC Files A-2236(a)-(kk))

Proposed Draft Order April 24, 2015, and Board Adoption Meeting, June 16, 2015 (SWRCB/OCC Files A-2236(a)-(kk))
On April 24, 2015, the State Water Board issued a revised proposed draft order addressing comments received on the November 21, 2014, proposed draft order, which resolved the significant issues in the petitions and addressed broader issues regarding receiving water limitations in municipal storm water permits. In a revised transmittal letter sent on May 5, 2015, the State Water Board set a written public comment deadline for June 2, 2015, at 12:00 noon. The State Water Board will consider adoption of the revised proposed draft order at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 16, 2015, commencing at 9:00 a.m, and will hear oral comment at that meeting.

On November 21, 2014, the State Water Board issued a proposed draft order resolving the significant issues in the petitions and addressing broader issues regarding receiving water limitations in municipal storm water permits. When the State Water Board anticipates addressing a petition on the merits after the 270-day review period specified by the regulations passes, it may indicate that it will review the matter on its own motion. On April 1, 2014, the State Water Board adopted Order WQ 2014-0056, stating that it would take up the petitions in the above matter on its own motion.
