Thursday, 22 October 2026 - 8:00 a.m. (Board Tour)

Field Tour – Wildfire and Forestry. Board staff will facilitate an all-day tour focused on tributaries of the Sacramento River east of I-5. Participants will learn about the Water Board’s role in pre-fire vegetation management, timber harvesting, post-fire activities, and sawmill operations, all critical components of managing resilient forests in a changing climate. Transportation will be provided to Board Members and staff. Other attendees will need to provide their own transportation. If you are interested in attending this tour, you must RSVP via email to Ciera.Compton@waterboards.ca.gov on or before October 20 at 12:00 p.m. indicating the names of attendees. Water Board staff will provide an itinerary for the tour with times, meeting locations, and driving directions.
