San Diego Region - Public Notices for Section 401 Water Quality Certifications

Public Notices

The San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board is currently reviewing applications for water quality certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act for the following projects.  State regulations require that these applications are publicly noticed for a minimum of twenty-one (21) days prior to the San Diego Water Board taking an action.

We encourage public comments on the proposed work which will be considered in the decision on certification. You may submit comments by email, mail, or fax to the San Diego Water Board. Please include the Project Name and Place ID Number in the subject line of your correspondence and deliver to:

Applicant: San Diego Gas and Electric.

The Applicant proposes to conduct road crossing improvements at two locations along an existing unpaved maintenance access road near Lusardi Creek in the Black Mountain Ranch area. Site 1 improvements involve the construction of an Arizona crossing with low flow pipe culvert upgrades. Site 2 improvements involve the construction of a concrete-lined Arizona crossing at an existing dirt road crossing. The Project is located in the City of San Diego, San Diego County, CA.

Applicant: Otay Valley Quarry LLC

The Applicant proposes to construct residential housing and associated infrastructure in the City of Chula Vista. The project includes construction of two bridges and one culverted crossing to improve an access road in Wolf Canyon. The Project is located in the City of Chula Vista, San Diego County, CA.
