  • What is a board meeting?
      • o The purpose of the meetings is to provide the Board with an opportunity to receive testimony and information from concerned and affected parties and to make decisions after considering the evidence presented. A public forum is held at the beginning of each general meeting where persons may speak on matters within the Board’s jurisdiction that are not specific agenda items. The Board welcomes information on pertinent problems, but comments at the meeting should be brief and directed to specifics of the case to enable the Board to take appropriate action. Written testimony must be received prior to the Board meeting by the date indicated by staff. Verbal comments made at the Board meeting should only summarize the written material.
  • When is the next board meeting?
      • o Meetings of the Water Board normally are scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month and begin at 9:00 a.m.
  • Where is the board meeting?
      • o In the Elihu M. Harris State Office Building, First Floor Auditorium, 1515 Clay Street, Oakland.
  • How do I view it remotely?
      • o Go to https://cal-span.org/. The video is live and will start when the actual board meeting starts.
  • Can I make comments at the meeting?
      • o Yes, you may speak either in person or remotely. You will need to register prior to the meeting.
  • How do I register to speak in person?
      • o You may sign up to speak in advance online here or with the assistance of the registration desk outside the auditorium on the day of the meeting.
      o Registration opens 10 days before the meeting.
  • How do I register to speak remotely?
      • o Link to register here
      o Indicate which item number you want to speak on. Item numbers are in the agenda.
      o After submitting the form, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and phone numbers.
  • Where can I find board meeting resources?
      • o All relevant documents for each board meeting will be posted on the Regional Board Meetings page, under the respective meeting. If a document is not available yet, please check again later.

      • o Recordings of past meetings will be posted here.
