Project Name:

Soulajule Emergency Culvert Repairs
City/County:

Unincorporated, Marin County
Comment Period:

08/21/2026 - 09/10/2026
Project Description:

The Project's purpose is to remove and replace approximately 120 linear feet of failing existing 72-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) beneath 3 Peaks Fire Road. The culvert has experienced failure due to corrosion and debris blockage, resulting in erosion, sinkhole formation, which risks roadway stability. This road serves as the only route for daily residential access to residents living residing along 3 Peaks Fire Road beyond the Project area. The road also provides the only access to water supply valve infrastructure and reservoir operations maintenance for Soulajule Reservoir. In the event of road failure at the culvert location, the residents and Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) operations personnel will have no means to safely enter or exit the area beyond the culvert
