State Water Board staff are developing a policy handbook to implement Assembly Bill (AB) 1096 for public transparency of lead sampling efforts in schools and child care facilities conducted under the requirements of the Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI).

Staff-Led Workshop

State Water Board staff will hold a staff-led workshop to inform and obtain public input regarding the development of the AB 1096 Policy Handbook and the proposed adoption of the LCRI regulation. For more information on the proposed LCRI regulation adoption, see the California LCRI Regulations page.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. through Zoom.
