Please email DDWrecycledwater@waterboards.ca.gov if you do not have internet access for the webcast and can only call in from a telephone. DDW should be able to provide accommodation if you notify us at least 1 hour before the meeting starts.

Register to Speak During the Public Comment Session

Oral public comments will be taken at the meeting following staff presentation. This is an opportunity for the public to provide questions and comments to Division of Drinking Water (DDW) staff.

  • If you wish to speak during the public comment, you must email DDW to request access to the meeting videoconference. Please send an email to DDW staff at DDWrecycledwater@waterboards.ca.gov to request a meeting link and passcode.
  • In the subject line, indicate: Staff Workshop – Onsite non-potable reuse regulations
  • In the body of the email, indicate:
    • Your name.
    • Who you represent (i.e., self, another person, an organization).
    • Whether you intend to participate via videoconference or by telephone.
    • If you are participating by telephone, please provide the last three digits of the phone number you will be calling from.

If you cannot request access to the videoconference before the meeting begins, please send the email as soon as you can. You will not be able to comment unless you request and receive the meeting link and passcode.

Additional Instructions

  • Do not watch the webcast if you are also accessing the meeting via videoconference. The webcast is time delayed and unmuted participants can cause audio feedback.
  • When you log into the videoconference from a browser, you must enter your name so the meeting organizer can identify you and ask you to unmute yourself when it is your turn to speak.
  • If you call in using a telephone instead of using the computer audio, please enter the Participant ID when prompted so that the videoconference software can connect your audio correctly. If a Participant ID is not entered, the meeting organizer will only see a telephone number and may not be able to quickly identify you when it is your turn to speak.
  • Call in or videoconference into the meeting a few minutes before the public comment session begins to resolve any technical issues.

Guidelines for Commenting

  • Commenters may have up to three minutes to speak.
  • Please be respectful and patient so all interested commenters can be fairly heard.
  • You will be muted until it is your turn to speak. While muted, you will be able to hear the meeting and can continue watching the videoconference if you are connected from a computer or mobile device.
  • Regardless of whether you participate via phone, computer, or mobile device, please participate from a quiet environment so that all attendees can hear you.
  • If you are using the internet to connect to the meeting, try to ensure you have a good connection or strong signal.
  • It is important to avoid creating acoustic feedback. If there are other devices near you that are tuned into the meeting, please make sure that the speakers on those devices are off when it is your turn to speak.
  • The meeting organizer will maintain order. People who are disruptive may be disconnected or muted by the organizer.
  • Other public commenters will be able to see your name and, if you call in, your phone number.
